Anyone can become a member of Better Stands
Organiser
Event organisers use Better Stands to measure the reusability of stands at their events. By assessing stands before or during an event, organisers can learn where to focus their efforts, celebrating exhibitors and service providers who are already reusable and engaging with those who have not yet started that journey.
Service Provider
Service providers use Better Stands as a framework to showcase the reusability of their stands by gaining Bronze, Silver or Gold certification, as well as using the framework to identify areas for improvement.
Assessor
An assessor is a part of Better Stands by providing the trained impartial assessment of a stand against the Better Stands Framework, either onsite at an event or through the pre-event process.
Exhibitor
An exhibitor can use Better Stands to help make an informed decision on the build of their stand, as well as to showcase their stand’s credentials. To find Better Stands–approved partners, please refer to the member list.
Venue
A venue can use Better Stands to engage their customers with a tried and tested programme to deliver benefits.
Association
An association can use Better Stands to engage its membership with a tried and tested programme to help deliver benefits to members.
Industry Partner
Industry partners form the backbone of
sustainable event construction, comprising
providers of products and services that
promote reuse and recycling within the
exhibitions and events sector.

Details:
- All members are expected to sign a user agreement that commits them to using the Better Stands framework and assets consistently
- There is no expectation for how much members implement Better Stands within an organisation. Many begin with a trial with a small number of events or customers before introducing it more widely.
- All funds generated by Better Stands Membership are ring-fenced and will only be reinvested into the programme.
