Designed for every stand

Our framework works for your needs, whether you’re an organiser, a service provider, an assessor or a venue.

Every stand can be divided into ten categories, and the components of each category can be evaluated.

Each stand can be assessed as Single Use, Bronze, Silver or Gold to celebrate each step towards becoming fully reusable.

What are the benefits of the Better Stands framework?

The framework is accessible to all build types.

The framework is adaptable to both those new to sustainability, as well as pioneers.

The framework is specific enough to ensure consistency, yet flexible enough for widespread adoption.

The framework allows for gradual progress that enables change.

The framework celebrates each step taken towards fully reusable.

The framework addresses the most impactful elements of the stand build first.

How are stands assessed?

There are two ways in which a stand can be assessed against the Better Stands Framework, either through an onsite assessment during an event, or through submitting information for assessment pre-event as a part of the pre-certification process.
Pre-event assessments

This method allows exhibitors and their service providers to get their stand assessed before a show, enabling them to promote and celebrate their rating both ahead of the event and onsite.

Onsite assessments

This method is arranged by the organiser and takes place largely during the dismantle phase of an event. An assessment of all stands allows organisers to understand how and where to engage with exhibitors for future shows, as well as celebrate those who have already built a reusable stand.
